Charitable Giving

We believe in giving back to the community!  Goodrich Restorations supports a number of non profit and charitable organizations.  Here is a list of the groups we are involved with:

Hope Academy of the Denver Street School

Denver Street School

Hope Academy is a disclosed and specialized High School for survivors of Sexual Trauma. We are highly involved within the movement to eradicate Sexual Exploitation and Trafficking. Jenelle Goodrich is a Trauma Counselor at this campus and other organizations state wide working with survivors and devoting the majority of her time in outreach, training, and counseling for young women. We highly suggest if you feel moved in anyway to go to their site and become a donor, they are 100% privately funded. https://denverstreetschool.org/hopeacademy/

Hand in Hand Africa

hand-in-hand-africa-logoWe donate to this amazing cause because HIHIA lends a helping hand and targets creating a legacy of hope for those devastated by HIV/AIDS in Southern Africa. This is accomplished by working with trustworthy national partners who live and work in Southern Africa’s needy areas. We have dear friends who travel here frequently through out the year to minister, and help these amazing families who are also on the board of this amazing organization. One day our hope is to travel with them.

Pinups for Charity

pinups-for-charity-logoPersonally, we just love Rockabilly! This is our style, intertwined with helping those in need, it is the perfect place for us to give back to our community in need. The ladies here put on amazing shows year round and raise funds for families in need of financial assistance for their children with disabilities, cancer, or other life long injuries. We have always had a special place in our hearts for special needs children. Every year they select a new family to sponsor and it is just amazing to see the joy they bring to these children; especially when we attend the events and are able to meet them face to face. We highly recommend attending one of these amazing events and helping this cause whenever you are able. (Do not forget your swing dancing shoes.)

Haven Ministries

Haven logoWe give to Haven ministries because we feel evangelism is very important. The people who work here are not only dear friends, but the work they do in the field blessing others is astounding! The courage it takes to do what they do is to be recognized and praised. If you ever have a moment to hear any of their stories, or missions we highly recommend it!

Amazing Hope Scarves

amazing-hope-scarves-logoAmazing Hope Scarves is an international knitting project which provides livelihood for marginalized women by teaching them how to knit high-end fashion accessories. The participants are able to knit where they live with their children/family; no electricity is necessary; and they are allowed to work flexible hours.  We became involved with this organization due to our friends adopting 4 children from the Philippines, who now are the main Colorado area contact to sell these amazing pieces that these women make by hand. After learning the poverty and damage of this country and the need for children to be cared for there we were moved. Hearing about what the women are put through over there we knew we needed to help in any way we could. This organization sends 100% of the profits directly to the women to help care for their children. Needless to say, it is an amazing organization to be involved with.

Compassion International

Compassion logoCompassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults.

Founded by the Rev. Everett Swanson in 1952, Compassion began providing Korean War orphans with food, shelter, education and health care, as well as Christian training. Today, Compassion helps more than 1.5 million children in 26 countries. We currently sponsor a young girl named Fatimata Ouedraogo who lives in Burkina Faso. We are able to get videos, letters and pictures from Fatimata. We see her report cards, and exactly where our money goes to support her. We truly get to be part of her upbringing and involved with her. One day we plan to visit her in person.

Roxborough PTIC

We love the idea of the auction and raising local funds for our children’s school when budget cuts can hit a community so hard.  Jenelle being involved on the PTIC Committee and able to be involved daily with her children’s school really has been a blessing. The events are open to all and it is an amazing time for parents to rally together, be there for their children, and their education; while supporting the teachers in their needs to help our children succeed.

We also support individuals throughout the year for sponsoring mission work as they travel from coast to coast helping those in need from ministry, school building, assisting in orphanages, or teaching languages, business, and basic schooling to those from third world countries so they can make a better life for themselves. We also support Russian missions yearly for those who travel to help the battered women in rural areas of Russia.
